Does the Voldt® Mobile OCPP Charger require installation or a dedicated backend?

The Voldt® Mobile OCPP Charger does not require fixed installation and does not require a proprietary Voldt® backend. It is designed as a fully portable plug-and-play solution.

Charging sessions are transmitted directly to existing OCPP-compatible enterprise platforms. The Voldt® app is used for onboarding, pairing, user identification, charging current settings, monitoring charging status, and firmware updates. The app is not a billing or management platform.

Because communication follows the OCPP 1.6 JSON standard, the Voldt® Mobile OCPP Charger integrates seamlessly into professional fleet infrastructures. From the backend’s perspective, it behaves like a fixed charge point while remaining fully mobile.

This makes the Voldt® Mobile OCPP Charger suitable for companies that require scalable reimbursement without installing permanent wallboxes.
