What safety features are included in the Voldt® CCS2 charging cables?
The Voldt® CCS2 charging cables integrate several safety features to ensure reliable operation during DC fast charging. Each model includes a PT1000 temperature sensor, which monitors heat levels at the connector and helps prevent overheating. This feature ensures long-term durability and protects both the charging cable and the vehicle’s inlet.
Additionally, the cables are designed to withstand 3500V AC between conductors and earth (DC+ / DC- / PE), offering a very high safety margin against insulation breakdown. They also maintain an insulation resistance of ≥500MΩ, ensuring stability and protection against electrical leakage.
With their flame-retardant construction, mechanical endurance of 10,000 cycles, and robust design using glass-fiber-reinforced PA66 and high-grade PC materials, the Voldt® CCS2 charging cables provide both electrical and mechanical safety. This combination of features makes them a reliable choice for demanding charging environments.
