Voldt® Sitecharge | Type 2 | 2x 22kW
The Voldt® Sitecharge 2×22kW is a dual-outlet AC charger built for sites with a three-phase supply that need high-capacity EV charging without a fixed installation. It delivers two full 22kW ports simultaneously, connecting via a 63A CEE plug. Two Type 2 sockets on the front panel mean any driver can plug in with the cable they already carry, exactly as they would at a conventional charge point.
Consider a fleet depot running eight electric vans on a rotating schedule. Two vehicles can charge at the same time at full 22kW, cutting turnaround times considerably, the CT-based load balancing keeps the site supply stable, and the RFID or app access means each session is logged against the right driver without a manual record. When the fleet grows or the site changes, the Sitecharge moves with it. There is no civil work to undo, no fixed infrastructure to write off. The IP55 enclosure and -30°C to +55°C operating range keep it running through whatever the British weather manages, and the below-30dB noise level means it sits next to the office without complaint.

Voldt® European EV charging excellence
The Voldt® Sitecharge is designed and manufactured in Europe, drawing on the engineering tradition that built the continent's reputation for serviceable, long-life equipment. Every detail is shaped by site reality: tidy, installer-friendly internals, a one-piece plug housing with no screws or glue, contact materials chosen for stable conductivity, and components specified for sustained loads in genuinely demanding conditions. The materials are high-grade throughout, which is what keeps performance consistent and maintenance predictable.
The service alongside it is built to keep projects moving. Same-day shipping, 100 days of hassle-free returns and a 3-year warranty cover the lifecycle from delivery through everyday use. Where setup involves OCPP back-office, connectivity choices or load-balancing, the Voldt® team can advise within the published specifications. European craftsmanship, supported properly.
Not sure which cable you need?
The plugs we have developed are produced from one whole and therefore not glued or screwed together. This makes the plugs stronger, more wear-resistant and more waterproof than other plugs on the market.
Join 100,000+ EV drivers across Europe, from the Netherlands to Norway, who trust Voldt® to keep them powered every day, everywhere.

What warranty and support come with the Voldt® Sitecharge 2×22kW?
Every Voldt® Sitecharge is supplied with a 3-year warranty, 100 days of hassle-free returns and free same-day shipping. Clear coverage, a generous return window and quick dispatch, the basics that keep installation schedules intact.
Behind the unit is European design and manufacturing by Voldt®, informed by automotive engineering practice. That heritage shows up in the specification choices installers actually care about: environmental ratings, cable construction, and how the product is meant to be serviced over its working life.
Day-to-day support is straightforward. Whether a site uses local access or OCPP via 4G or Ethernet, the Voldt® team can assist with setup guidance within the published specifications. Combined with the warranty and returns policy, the Sitecharge is backed for the long run rather than just the unboxing.

How do drivers and operators manage sessions on the 2×22kW Sitecharge?
Four access methods are supported: plug-and-charge, app control, optional RFID cards and reservation charging. Sites can run authenticated sessions where billing or access control matters, or stay with simple walk-up use where it doesn't.
For operators, the Voldt® Sitecharge offers OCPP over 4G or Ethernet, giving the back-office connection needed for tariffs, session records, remote oversight and authorisation. Connectivity is optional, so a basic deployment can stay local and straightforward without losing the option to scale up later.
Power sharing is handled internally with CT-based load balancing across single and three-phase metering. In practice that means available capacity is distributed sensibly between the two outlets, which protects the upstream supply during peak demand and improves utilisation when both connectors are in use.
03.
How is the Voldt® Sitecharge 2×22kW protected against electrical and weather risk?
Electrical protection is integrated, not added on. The Sitecharge ships with an RCD Type A plus DC 6mA leakage detection, covering AC residual currents and small DC faults in a single device. The plug itself is rated IP67 within the IP55 enclosure, built as a one-piece housing with no screws or glue, which keeps the connection point sealed and structurally sound through the handling demands of a 63A installation.
Material choice does the rest. Contacts are 100% silvered copper, which avoids the resistance penalties of cheaper alloys, and the conductors use finely stranded copper for flexibility and resilience under tight bend radii. At 63A, these material decisions have a direct bearing on heat build-up at the contact points and mechanical fatigue over thousands of plug cycles. These are the details that determine how a charger holds up in year three rather than week one.
04.
What does my site need to run the Voldt® Sitecharge 2×22kW?
The Voldt® Sitecharge 2×22kW is built for sites with a three-phase supply. It runs on AC 380V ±15% at 50Hz with a 63A rating, which is what delivers the full 22kW per outlet. Single-phase infrastructure will not support this variant, so confirming three-phase availability with the site electrician before installation is the right first step. The 5m output cable is included, while the input cable is selected by the installer to suit local code and the 63A CEE socket on site.
The IP55 enclosure handles indoor or outdoor placement, and the operating window of -30°C to +55°C means it stays in service through Northern winters and Southern summers alike. Installation altitude is rated up to 2,000m, with operating noise below 30dB, so it sits comfortably near offices, residential blocks or workplace car parks.
For sites where a local screen isn't wanted, the display is removable, which simplifies the install and reduces points of wear in vandal-prone or tightly controlled environments.

What is a portable EV charger?
A portable EV charger is a flexible charging device that allows you to charge your electric vehicle anywhere with access to power. It connects directly to a household socket or industrial outlet, eliminating the need for a fixed wallbox. Compact and easy to transport, it delivers the same safety and reliability as a stationary unit while giving you the freedom to charge at home, at work, or while travelling. Voldt’s range of portable EV chargers is compatible with both Type 1 and Type 2 connectors and includes adjustable amperage control for optimal charging speed.
06.
How does a portable EV charger work?
A portable EV charger works by safely converting AC power from the grid into a controlled current for your vehicle’s battery. The internal control box manages power flow, monitors temperature, and prevents overcurrent or short circuits. Simply plug one end into a power source and the other into your EV’s charging port. With amperage settings from 8A to 32A and output options from 2.8 kW to 22 kW, Voldt® chargers ensure secure, efficient charging on single-phase or three-phase connections.
