BMW charging problem seems like a charging station issue, but is actually the car

It's often thought that electric car charging problems are primarily attributable to charging stations, especially if they're interrupted. However, the reality is more complex and requires a more in depth analysis. A good example is electric car by BMW, which sometimes experience difficulties recharging at wallboxes and other charging stations. In many cases, when a BMW isn't charging properly, it's immediately assumed that the problem is related to the charging station or BMW charging cable. However, the opposite can also happen: other cars, even those of different brands, charge without problems at the same station, while the BMW still isn't receiving power. This suggests that the problem may lie with the car itself, rather than the charging station. To avoid misdiagnosis, the safest solution is to test the car at multiple charging stations. If the car also experiences difficulties at multiple charging stations, the problem is likely internal to the car, such as a malfunction in the charging system or a configuration error. Conversely, if the car charges correctly at other stations, then the problem may be related to the individual charging station or its compatibility with the vehicle. Never assume that a configuration that works for other vehicles guarantees problem-free charging for your BMW. The best strategy is to compare performance at different stations to isolate the root cause and take targeted action, avoiding hasty diagnoses and ensuring safer and more efficient refueling. Conversely, this also applies to BMWs: a perfectly functioning configuration at one charging station is not synonymous with perfect operation and does not exempt the vehicle from the possibility of problems. In fact, it could be that a software update can resolve the current problem and the car will start charging regularly again without problems.
