Citroen e-C3 Charging cable

11kW
The Citroen e-C3 has a charging capacity of 11kW. So we recommend using a charging cable of atleast 11kW for optimal charging speeds.

22kW cable compatible
However, please be aware that a 22kW cable is perfectly capable of charging at 11kW. With a 22kW cable you'll have guaranteed optimal charging speeds in the event of a new car or a possible upgrade in charging capacity.

Collection: Citroen e-C3 Charging cable

The Citroën ë-C3 is designed to make electric driving simple, practical and affordable for everyday use. The Standard Range uses a 44 kWh LFP battery, while a more compact 30 kWh Urban Range joined the lineup in 2025 for predominantly city use. The standard onboard AC charger is 7.4 kW single-phase, with an 11 kW three-phase charger available as a paid option. At 7.4 kW, a full charge on the 44 kWh battery takes around seven hours. At 11 kW with the optional charger, that drops to under five hours. Both suit an overnight charge without any difficulty. The CCS Type 2 inlet sits on the left rear flank, where the fuel filler would be on a conventional C3.

The ideal charging cable for the Citroën ë-C3

A 22 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable is the most versatile choice, covering both ë-C3 variants at their maximum possible AC speeds. For the optional 11 kW three-phase variant, an 11 kW cable unlocks the full rate. However, for standard 7.4 kW single-phase models, a standard 11 kW cable will restrict charging to 3.7 kW due to its 16A limit; these single-phase models require a 7.4 kW or 22 kW cable to reach their full 7.4 kW rate.

The rear-left port mirrors the position of a conventional fuel filler, so reversing into a bay puts the port closest to the post. For most home charging situations a 6-metre cable provides sufficient reach without unnecessary bulk. An 8-metre cable is the practical everyday standard for mixed home and public use. A 10-metre cable offers extra flexibility at public charging stations and unfamiliar parking layouts where charger positioning is less predictable. A 15-metre cable handles hotel car parks and longer driveways without restriction.

Convenient charging away from home

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable is available up to 22 kW via three-phase CEE, automatically matching the output to the car's onboard charger. For the optional 11 kW three-phase variant, a standard 16A three-phase CEE socket delivers exactly 11 kW, charging the 44 kWh battery fully in under five hours. For the standard 7.4 kW single-phase variant, a 32A CEE connection allows the car to draw its full rate, charging fully in around seven hours. Either way, any campsite, marina or workplace with a matching CEE socket covers a complete charge overnight. The Schuko portable charger delivers up to 3.7 kW wherever only a standard socket is available.
