Collection: Cupra Raval charging cable

Charging cable for the Cupra Raval: the right choice for UK drivers

The Cupra Raval is built for 3-phase charging up to 11 kW. That means: at a public charge point or a 3-phase wallbox, you add around 55 km of range per hour — around 34 miles. But the cable has to be able to deliver that speed reliably, through British rain, cold and winter grime. A commodity cable won't last long doing that. An automotive-grade cable will.

Voldt® delivers exactly that quality: designed and manufactured in Europe, CE/UKCA/TÜV certified, and built to IATF 16949, the same quality standard that applies to components fitted to your car on the production line. No aftermarket compromise.

Which charging cable fits the Cupra Raval?

The Raval has a CCS Type 2 inlet and an onboard charger of 11 kW (3-phase, 16A). The right cable is therefore a Type 2 11 kW charging cable. At every 3-phase public charge point and at a 3-phase wallbox, this cable delivers the full 11 kW (~34 miles/h). At a single-phase wallbox it charges at 3.7 kW (~11 miles/h). One cable, all AC scenarios.

Cable length matters just as much as charge speed. The Raval's charge port sits on the rear left, and on a typical UK driveway or shared car park, 5 metres is often simply not enough. 10 metres is the practical standard; 8 metres works for a tight garage setup, 15 metres makes sense for awkward layouts or public posts where you can't always park directly alongside.

Home charging: why a portable charger belongs in the boot too

Around 70% of charging happens at home. Without a wallbox, you charge via a standard 3-pin socket. The cable supplied from the factory is typically limited to 10A (~2.3 kW, ~7 miles/h), meaning an overnight session often isn't enough to reach 80%.

The Voldt® granny charger is adjustable between 8/10/13/16A and delivers up to 3.7 kW (~11 miles/h), around 60% faster than a typical OEM granny charger: a full overnight top-up in roughly 6 hours instead of 11. It features app control, an LCD screen and in-cable temperature monitoring (ICCB) that automatically scales back if overheating is detected. Essential for weekends away, holiday destinations or friends without a charge point.

Why Voldt® suits a car in the £25,000 bracket

  • Automotive-grade connectors: single-piece moulded construction, no glue, no screws. Mechanically stronger and fully watertight.
  • IP67 weather resistance: built to handle rain, snow, mud and road salt. Operating range -30°C to +50°C.
  • 100% copper with silver-plated contacts: lower resistance, less heat, longer service life than copper-coated aluminium.
  • Tested to over 10,000 insert/remove cycles: at daily home-charging rates, that adds up to years of reliable use.
  • 3-year full warranty and 100-day returns. Free shipping across Europe.

A straightforward choice: European quality without compromise. Browse the Type 2 11 kW charging cable for the Cupra Raval and pair it with the granny charger for a complete home and on-the-go charging setup that works anywhere in the UK.
