Collection: Renault Twingo Electric charging cable

The Renault Twingo Electric shares the Zoe's standout feature: a Caméléon onboard charger rated at 22 kW AC on a three-phase supply. Paired with a compact 22 kWh battery (21.3 kWh usable), a full charge takes little over an hour at a 22 kW post. This matters more here than on most EVs because the Twingo Electric has no DC fast charging, so every public charge depends entirely on your AC cable. At a single-phase 7.4 kW home wallbox, a full charge completes in around three hours. The Type 2 charge port sits on the right rear flank.

Getting the right cable for this car

A 22 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable is essential on the Twingo Electric. With no DC option, this cable is the only way to access the car's full charge rate at public three-phase posts. At home on a standard single-phase 32A wallbox, a 22 kW cable draws the full 7.4 kW. An 11 kW three-phase cable restricts a single-phase wallbox to one 16A conductor, halving your home charge rate to 3.7 kW and doubling your charge time to around six hours.

The right-rear port means reversing in typically brings it closest to the post. A 4 or 6-metre cable works for straightforward home setups. An 8-metre cable covers most public situations. A 10-metre cable handles awkward bay layouts comfortably. A 15-metre cable removes all guesswork at hotels or unfamiliar infrastructure.

Portable charging away from home

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable delivers output up to 22 kW, matched to the Twingo's full onboard charger rate. At a red three-phase 32A CEE socket, you get the complete 22 kW and a full charge in around an hour. The blue single-phase 16A CEE sockets typical of campsites and caravan hookups deliver 3.7 kW, enough for a full overnight charge.

Where only a standard domestic wall socket is available, the Voldt® Schuko portable charger draws 2.3 kW (10A safe limit). As with the Zoe, the Caméléon charger is notably less efficient at low currents, making this strictly a backup option.
