Collection: Toyota BZ4X charging cable

The Toyota bZ4X represents Toyota's first dedicated battery-electric vehicle, bringing the brand's long-established reputation for reliability into the EV market. The original MY2022–2024 model uses a 71.4 kWh battery with a 6.6 kW single-phase onboard charger as standard, with 11 kW three-phase available as an option. The MY2025 facelift introduces two new battery sizes, 57.7 kWh and 73.1 kWh, and upgrades the standard charger to 11 kW three-phase across the range, with 22 kW available as an option on the top-spec High variant. Connected to a three-phase wallbox or public AC post, the bZ4X adds around 30 miles of range per hour at 11 kW. The Type 2 charging inlet sits on the front left flank across all generations.

The right charging cable for the Toyota bZ4X

An 11 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable covers all bZ4X variants at their standard AC charge rate. For MY2025 High models with the optional 22 kW charger, a 22 kW cable unlocks the full rate and is worth having if you plan to use it with any other higher-capacity vehicle in the future. For MY2022–2024 models with the standard 6.6 kW charger, an 11 kW cable works equally well at 6.6 kW and covers all future-proofing scenarios without any drawback.

The front-left port suits nose-in parking well, keeping the post close to the car on most standard bays. For most home setups a 6-metre cable is comfortable. An 8-metre cable is the dependable everyday standard for mixed home and public use. A 10-metre cable offers additional reach at public charging stations where the post is set further back. A 15-metre cable handles hotel car parks, longer driveways and any situation where the post is not directly adjacent to the space.

Flexible charging away from home

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable is available up to 22 kW via three-phase CEE. For MY2022–2024 models with the standard 6.6 kW charger, output is matched automatically. For MY2025 models at 11 kW, most CEE sockets on campsites and marinas run at 16A three-phase, delivering exactly 11 kW, with a full charge in around seven hours for the 73.1 kWh battery. For the MY2025 High with 22 kW, a 32A three-phase CEE socket delivers the full rate, charging the same battery in under four hours. The Schuko portable charger delivers up to 3.7 kW where only a standard socket is available.
