32A 5-pole commando to Type 2 Adapter

The Voldt® 32A red CEE to Type 2 adapter allows you to connect a 32A red 5-pin CEE industrial power outlet directly to electric vehicles or charging equipment that use a Type 2 charging interface. It is designed for situations where a high-power three-phase CEE supply is available, but a standard Type 2 EV connection is required.

This adapter is typically used at industrial sites, workshops, commercial buildings, fleet depots, and private locations where a 32A CEE socket is installed instead of a fixed EV charging station. It enables direct access to three-phase power for EV charging without the need for permanent wallbox installation, making it a flexible solution for both temporary and semi-permanent charging setups.

By converting the industrial CEE connection to a Type 2 interface, the adapter ensures compatibility with most European electric vehicles equipped with a Type 2 inlet. It provides a standardized and safe charging interface while making use of existing industrial electrical infrastructure.

The Voldt® 32A red CEE to Type 2 adapter supports three-phase charging up to 22 kW at 32 A and is suitable for Mode 2 charging applications. It is intended for users who want to utilize a 32A CEE industrial power source to deliver high-power AC charging through a Type 2 connection.

Electrically, the adapter operates at 400 V three-phase, allowing a maximum charging capacity of 22 kW, depending on the vehicle and onboard charger. This makes it suitable for significantly faster AC charging compared to single-phase solutions, while still remaining within the limits of standard Type 2 AC charging systems.

The adapter is built for demanding environments and features an IP67 protection rating, ensuring resistance to dust and water ingress. It is tested for more than 10,000 insertion and extraction cycles, operates reliably between -30 °C and +50 °C, and carries CE and UKCA certifications, confirming compliance with applicable safety and quality standards.
