HOW A PORTABLE EV CHARGER WORKS
A portable electric car charger connects directly to a power outlet such as a household socket, a CEE industrial socket or a generator and delivers AC power safely to the vehicle. Unlike fixed wallboxes, a portable EV charger contains all charging electronics inside the unit, including power control, adjustable amperage and multiple safety features. Most portable EV chargers support charging levels from 2.8 kW to 22 kW depending on the plug type and available power. This makes them suitable for everyday home charging as well as use on the road when no charging station is nearby.
