Collection: Cupra Born charging cable

The Cupra Born is a performance-oriented electric hatchback built on the MEB platform, closely related to the Volkswagen ID.3 but with a sportier character. Two battery options are available: a 58 kWh pack and a larger 77 kWh version. Both carry an 11 kW three-phase onboard charger as standard. At a three-phase wallbox or public post, the Born adds around 50 km of range per hour. The CCS Type 2 inlet sits on the right rear flank across the entire range.

The right cable for your Born

An 11 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable covers both Born variants without compromise. A 22 kW cable works equally well at 11 kW and is worth considering if you plan to use it with a higher-capacity vehicle in the future, or simply want the most versatile cable in your boot.

The right-rear port mirrors the position of a conventional fuel filler, so reversing into a bay puts the port closest to the post. For most home driveways a 6-metre cable is comfortable. An 8-metre cable is the dependable everyday standard for mixed home and public use. A 10-metre cable gives confidence at public infrastructure where the post is set further back. A 15-metre cable covers hotel car parks and longer driveway runs without restriction.

Travel and outdoor options

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable is available up to 22 kW via three-phase CEE. For the Born, the onboard charger accepts up to 11 kW, so output is matched automatically at any 16A or 32A three-phase socket. At 11 kW the 58 kWh battery charges fully in around six hours, and the 77 kWh in around eight, both comfortably within an overnight window at any campsite, marina or workplace with a CEE socket. The Schuko portable charger delivers up to 3.7 kW where only a standard socket is available.
