Collection: Kia EV3 Charging cable

The Kia EV3 brings Hyundai Motor Group's E-GMP electric platform into a compact crossover format, combining efficient packaging with modern charging capability. The Standard Range uses a 58.3 kWh battery and the Long Range steps up to 81.4 kWh. Both variants come with an 11 kW three-phase onboard charger as standard. From the 2026 model year, the GT-Line S trim adds a 22 kW option. At 11 kW on a three-phase supply, the EV3 gains approximately 30 miles of range per hour. The Standard Range charges fully in around five hours, the Long Range in around seven. The CCS Type 2 inlet sits at the front of the vehicle, suited to nose-in parking.

The ideal charging cable for the Kia EV3

An 11 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable covers both EV3 variants at the standard AC charge rate. A 22 kW cable works equally well at 11 kW and is worth considering for MY2026 GT-Line S owners with the optional 22 kW charger, or for anyone planning to use the cable with a higher-capacity vehicle in the future.

The front port suits nose-in parking well, keeping the post close to the car on most standard bays. For most home setups a 6-metre cable is comfortable. An 8-metre cable is the dependable everyday option for both home and public charging. A 10-metre cable provides additional flexibility at public charging stations where charger positioning is less predictable. A 15-metre cable handles hotel parking areas, wider charging bays and longer driveways without restriction.

Convenient charging while travelling

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable is available up to 22 kW via three-phase CEE. For the EV3, the standard onboard charger accepts up to 11 kW, so output is matched automatically at any 16A or 32A three-phase socket. Most CEE sockets on campsites and marinas run at 16A three-phase, delivering exactly 11 kW. At that rate the Standard Range charges fully in around five hours and the Long Range in around seven, both well within an overnight window. The Schuko portable charger delivers up to 3.7 kW from a standard household socket wherever industrial power is unavailable.

Manufactured to automotive standards

Voldt® charging cables are CE, UKCA and TÜV certified and manufactured according to IATF 16949 automotive production standards. Single-piece moulded connectors, no glue or screws.
