Collection: Mazda MX30 charging cable

The Mazda MX-30 takes a distinctive approach to the EV market: a compact, design-led crossover with a 35.5 kWh battery and an honest focus on urban practicality. MX-30 models from 2020–2021 are fitted with a 6.6 kW single-phase onboard charger. From 2022, Mazda upgraded the European specification to 11 kW three-phase. That figure is the ceiling for all AC charging on each variant, whether at a home wallbox or a public post. A well-made cable unlocks the full rate and holds it reliably for years, without fraying, cracking in cold weather, or moisture working into the connector. That is what Voldt® is built for.

Which charging cable suits the Mazda MX-30

A 22 kW Voldt® Type 2 charging cable is the most versatile choice, covering all Mazda MX-30 variants across both generations at their maximum possible AC speeds. For 2022+ models with the 11 kW three-phase charger, an 11 kW cable unlocks the full rate, adding around 30 miles of range per hour. However, for 2020–2021 cars with the 6.6 kW single-phase charger, a standard 11 kW cable will restrict charging to 3.7 kW due to its 16A limit; these earlier models require a 7.4 kW or 22 kW cable to reach their full 6.6 kW rate, adding around 20 miles of range per hour.

The MX-30's charge port sits on the right rear flank. At most public charging bays, parking orientation is not always your choice, which makes cable length more important than it might seem on a home driveway. An 8-metre cable is the practical standard for stress-free charging in either direction. A 10-metre cable removes uncertainty at bays where the post sits further back. A 15-metre cable covers long driveways and unpredictable hotel car parks without compromise.

Portable charging for travel and outdoor use

The Voldt® portable CEE charging cable is available up to 22 kW via three-phase CEE. For 2022+ models, a 16A three-phase CEE socket delivers the full 11 kW. For 2020–2021 models, a 32A CEE connection allows the car to draw its full 6.6 kW rate. At campsites, marinas or workplaces with a CEE socket, the MX-30 charges at its full AC rate, turning any industrial outlet into a reliable charge point during weekend escapes or longer trips. The Schuko portable charger delivers up to 3.7 kW wherever only a standard socket is available.

Why Voldt® fits the Mazda MX-30

The MX-30 is chosen for its design, its sustainability credentials and its honest approach to urban EV use. Voldt® cables share that same no-compromise philosophy. Designed and manufactured in Europe according to IATF 16949 automotive quality standards, they are built to withstand more than 10,000 insertion cycles, ideal for a car plugged in multiple times a week.
